Al Taawoun head coach Vuk Rašović said preparations for the upcoming clash against Al Diriyah are progressing well, with the players working with a high level of focus and commitment ahead of the Saudi Pro League Matchweek 9 fixture.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Rašović explained that the team had used the recent period to work on several technical and tactical details, while also addressing previous mistakes in order to reach the highest possible level of readiness for the match.
The head coach stressed that Al Taawoun respect Al Diriyah and understand that the encounter will be a challenging one, pointing out that there are no guaranteed matches in football. He emphasised the need for the players to remain organised, disciplined and focused throughout all 90 minutes.
Rašović also highlighted the coaching staff’s ongoing work to develop the team and find the right solutions based on the players’ qualities and the demands of each individual match. He added that the technical staff have been working on several tactical ideas during training.
Discussing the tactical approach, Rašović stressed that the key is not simply the formation itself, but how effectively the players execute their roles on the pitch and apply the instructions given to them.
The head coach acknowledged the expectations of the Al Taawoun supporters and their desire to see the team perform at its best, stressing that the players and technical staff fully embrace that responsibility.
Rašović concluded with a message to the supporters, saying: “I promise them that we will give everything we have to deliver a good performance and achieve a positive result.” He also emphasised that the fans’ support is extremely important to the team at this stage.
